Volunteer Opportunity: Programs Manager at PACER Cancer Support Consortium
Are you passionate about making a difference in the fight against cancer? Do you have experience in program management and want to contribute to impactful initiatives in Uganda? The PACER Cancer Support Consortium is looking for a dedicated Programs Manager (Volunteer) to join our team!
About Us:
The PACER Cancer Support Consortium is a non-governmental organization committed to improving cancer care and support in Uganda. We aim to raise awareness, improve early detection, provide patient support, and foster cancer research and innovation across the country.
Role:
As a Programs Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing, coordinating, and managing programs aimed at enhancing cancer care services. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, and community members to ensure that our programs run efficiently and meet the needs of cancer patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage cancer care programs.
- Coordinate outreach and educational initiatives to raise cancer awareness.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals and stakeholders to improve service delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and impact.
- Manage program budgets and resources.
- Assist in fundraising and grant proposal writing to sustain programs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in program management, healthcare, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Passion for improving cancer care in Uganda.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Commitment to PACER’s mission and values.
